The Gold Advisor’s success in resource investing is a testament to their deep market understanding. Our role in implementing a monthly subscription service for their newsletter has not only simplified access for investors but also ensures a consistent flow of valuable insights and recommendations in the dynamic world of metals and mining.
Our challenge with The Gold Advisor involved a seamless handoff from their predecessor, Maven Resources. Initially, Maven approached us to develop a custom website that facilitated easy newsletter posting, user management through WooCommerce Memberships and Subscriptions, and subscription sales—all while maintaining a cohesive brand presence. Following Maven’s sale to The Gold Advisor in Spring 2024, we were tasked with integrating their existing newsletter subscription model into the Maven site.
To successfully merge the two entities, we undertook several key tasks:
After thorough testing, we confidently executed the transition, shutting down both the Maven and Gold Advisor sites, pushing the changes to the Maven site, and completing the user import.
One aspect of this website that we’re particularly proud of, is a feature that allows The Gold Advisor team to link related stocks within each newsletter.
Upon publishing a new newsletter, the Gold Advisor team can link investments for future reference. These links accumulate to create a comprehensive timeline within each investment’s custom post type entry, enabling users to view every newsletter that mentions a stock they have invested in and track its progress over time.
Additionally, each newsletter features a button that scrolls readers directly to the relevant section where the stock is mentioned, enhancing the overall user experience.
By successfully managing this transition, we not only preserved the integrity of the originally Maven platform but also enhanced The Gold Advisor’s online presence, offering users a streamlined experience tailored to their investment needs.
