Carruthers has an established brand rooted in medical-aesthetic excellence, but their existing site needed modernization: faster load times, stronger visual presentation and easier backend management. The website needed to reflect their unique legacy (e.g., pioneering use of Botox) while supporting educational content, an elevated brand aesthetic befitting a high-end clinic, online retail of more than 100 skincare and cosmetic products, and seamless integration of treatment booking and e-commerce
As pioneers of modern Botox treatments, the Carruthers legacy deserved a prominent and story-driven feature on the site. Collaborating closely with their team, we developed a dedicated landing page that chronicles Dr. Jean Carruthers’ remarkable journey, milestones, and contributions to the cosmetic field. The design balances narrative flow with SEO-rich content, ensuring this key piece of brand storytelling not only honors her legacy but also strengthens the site’s search visibility and authority within the cosmetic industry.
E-commerce functionality played a crucial role in the new Carruthers website. Beyond booking treatments, the platform serves as a full online store for over 100 cosmetic and skincare products. Every product, along with its details, images, and checkout data, was carefully migrated and restructured using custom ACF fields to maintain consistency and accuracy. The result is a seamless shopping experience that empowers Carruthers to manage inventory and deliver premium products directly to their clients without sacrificing performance or usability.
Education and accessibility were at the heart of the Treatments and Conditions section we developed. Using Custom Post Types with dynamic relationship fields, users can now browse conditions and instantly find relevant treatments and recommended products. This interconnected approach helps clients make informed decisions before booking appointments, transforming the site into both a learning resource and a conversion driver. It’s a feature that combines thoughtful UX with real-world value for Carruthers’ patients.
